After The Flu Calf Is Sore

Shangri-La

In the novel " Lost Horizon " James Hilton beschribt this strange and mystical Place.
(An Englishman, who crashes in the Himalayas by Shangri-La and decides there with the monks in the large, nearby monastery to live).

My oldest son Jonathan, who is traveling in Asia for several months now found this legendary place and sent me this photo.
schriebt He said:
"An official study to the Chinese mountain town" Shangrila " have identified as Shangri-La. In particular, probably because of the nearby monastery live town, where about 600 monks. Zhongdian was then renamed Shangri-La. Something suspicious about this whole story is that the leader of this "study" of Yunnan (the region of Zhongdian) is Director of Tourism was. Thus, the true story of Shangri-La will probably remain forever secret of the author ".
